This year Complete I.T.’s very own Andrew Radford is running both the Paris Marathon and London marathon in support of Complete IT’s charity of the year – Mencap.
Mencap fights for an equal chance for people with a learning disability – and for the support they and their families and carers need. They campaign for equal rights and for an end to discrimination and prejudice. They also provide a wide range of services – in housing, employment, education and leisure – to meet people’s varying and changing needs throughout their lives.
Back in 2014 Andrew ran 6 half marathons for Crohns & Colitis UK and Tourettes Action. So jumping up to a full marathon felt like the next logical step. As he had already signed up for the Paris Marathon, the opportunity to run the London marathon as well, fell nicely alongside.
Andrew has already put on a fantastic quiz night to raise money and will be holding a raffle and a sponsored pancake day at CIT.
